Torje has a master's degree in geomatics with a specialisation in remote sensing. He has also completed an exchange programme at the University of Western Australia and worked at Geodata last summer.

- "We're delighted to have Torje on the team. He brings new impulses and fresh expertise. He will be important for us in our field department," says CEO Atle Gerhardsen.

Management

Cautus Geo is one of Europe's leading technology companies in automatic monitoring of structures, land, water, climate and the environment. The company has developed a wide range of sensor technology and a proprietary web solution, Cautus Web, for automatic and continuous collection, processing, analysis and notification based on data from various sources.

Torje joins the field department. This means great variation in job content. He will help design and establish solutions for monitoring natural hazards, ground conditions, construction, water and the environment.

In growth

Cautus Geo has grown continuously since its inception in 2009. It started with natural hazard monitoring. The company is a leader in its field in the development of innovative technology. It's all about automated solutions that send data to Cautus Web in real time. Most often, the whole system is set up with an alarm if set limit values are breached.

- I'm looking forward to varied working days in the field and in the office and to delivering accurate measurements," says Torje.

Safety and security

Automatic and continuous monitoring with real-time reporting and analyses of data in Cautus Web is often a matter of life and health, and of securing major assets, infrastructure and facilities.

- "It will be exciting to take part in the assignments Cautus Geo solves. It's a great motivation to be able to work on socially beneficial assignments such as safeguarding lives, as Cautus Geo does, for example, through its systems for monitoring and warning of landslides," says Torje.
