About us
Cautus Geo protects people, infrastructure and the environment with innovative and effective automated surveillance solutions.
Cautus Geo AS is an independent company specialising in the development, establishment and operation of various measurement systems.
Cautus Geo aims to be a leading and developing player in efficient and secure solutions for monitoring structures, land, water, climate and the environment.
"Cautus comes from Latin and means: to make things safe/secure (people and property)"
Cautus Geo was established in 2009. Today, the company has a broad professional composition. Most employees have a master's or civil engineering degree with expertise in various measurement and sensor technologies, maps and surveying, geology, geotechnics, geographic IT and software development.
The head office is located at Lysaker. Cautus Geo also has offices in Lier, Voss, Bergen and Kvitseid.
Cautus Geo devotes considerable resources to developing accurate, robust and reliable solutions with different technologies to cover all areas of a monitoring project. The company co-operates with leading players. This provides access to different technologies from all over the world. Therefore, Cautus Geo can offer good solutions for small and extensive projects.
R&D (research and development) is part of our core business. It's also IoT - the Internet of Thing. This has been the case since the start in 2009 with the proprietary data management system Cautus Web, originally developed for monitoring Åkneset.
In 2013, Cautus Geo launched its first avalanche radar. In 2014, the company launched its own pore pressure gauge and sensor for monitoring safety nets and the CL1 data logger.
Since then, Cautus Geo has developed a lot of new technology and initiated and participated in major research and development programmes, such as measuring pesticides in drinking water (supported by the EU with EUR 1.9 million) and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in ground reinforcement through KlimaGrunn.
