Cautus Geo is growing and expanding. Øystein Jensen had his first day of work on 1 September this year.

- Øystein strengthens us with valuable expertise in documentation, firmware and testing," says COO Atle Gerhardsen.

Leading company

Cautus Geo is one of Europe's leading technology companies in automatic monitoring of structures, land, water, climate and the environment. The company has developed a wide range of sensor technology and a proprietary web solution, Cautus Web, for automatic and continuous collection, processing, analysis and notification based on data from various sources.

In 2021, the company acquired the PE fund Equip as an owner. The goal is to grow the company tenfold. This will be achieved through organic growth and the acquisition of companies in Europe and beyond.

Sensors and loggers

Øystein is an electrical engineer with broad professional expertise and specialised experience in embedded software (firmware). He is taking up a new position as technical manager. This means that he will be responsible for ensuring follow-up and control of further development, testing and documentation, not least for the logger products and follow-up of external developers in hardware and firmware.

- Now I'm looking forward to learning more about the technology and products, and developing new solutions and products," says Øystein Jensen.

- "We are growing and need more employees with new expertise. Øystein will give us more power and expertise in the development of sensors and logging systems," says Gerhardsen.

Downstream technology

Øystein is a true technology enthusiast. He loves both people and technology, which has been a common denominator in almost all the jobs he has had in his working life.

- Cautus Geo has stylish products, but even better is that they help to safeguard life and health. "It's great to work on developing equipment and solutions for monitoring and warning of natural hazards. It's about ensuring that we don't lose precious lives in sometimes dangerous nature," says Øystein.
