The NIFS (Natural Hazards, Infrastructure, Floods and Landslides) project is a joint initiative between the Norwegian National Rail Administration, the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

Cautus Geo has participated in sub-project 4, monitoring and warning, with systems such as monitoring of catch nets, snowfall, various camera systems and snow and climate measurements.
The project ended with a bang at Oslo Kino, SAGA on Tuesday 12 April.
