From Formula 1 to Cautus Geo

Software engineer Lars van der Lee is used to speed and excitement. He joins Cautus Geo from the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, where he designs and develops systems for the Formula One team.

Lars comes with fast-paced experience based on a master's degree in technology in cybernetics and robotics from NTNU. On 16 August he joined Cautus Geo. 

In BWT Alpine Formula One, he had a wide-ranging job. There he worked with telemetry and parts tracking. Now he's working on the further development of Cautus Web and solutions for collecting, storing and retrieving data.

- Lars will strengthen us. He brings new and fresh knowledge and exciting work experience. We are happy to have him on the team," says COO Atle Gerhardsen.

Management

Cautus Geo is one of Europe's leading technology companies in automatic monitoring of structures, land, water, climate and the environment. The company has developed a wide range of sensor technology and a proprietary web solution, Cautus Web, for automatic and continuous collection, processing, analysis and notification based on data from various sources.

In 2021, the company acquired the PE fund Equip as an owner. The goal is to grow the company tenfold. This will be achieved through organic growth and the acquisition of companies in Europe and beyond.

Natural hazard

- I love data and am very curious about different types of data and what we can get out of them. At Cautus Geo, I'm entering a new field of expertise. It provides new, exciting and important knowledge. In addition, at Cautus Geo we are doing something that is very useful for society. That makes it even more rewarding and exciting," says Lars van der Lee.
