Becoming a leader in the Nordic region

Cautus Geo is one of Europe's leading technology companies in automatic monitoring of natural hazards, structures, construction, water and the environment. The company has developed a wide range of sensor technology. The Cautus Web cloud solution is the mainstay for automatic and continuous monitoring with real-time data.

Scanmatic is a leader in technology for demanding environments and signal processing. Since 1971, the company has delivered advanced solutions to customers in defence, renewable energy, environmental monitoring, intelligent traffic solutions and offshore.

- Together, the companies gain greater breadth. It gives us more power and a better offering. We can now accelerate the development of new technology," says Kim Steinsland, CEO of Scanmatic.

Stronger together

The top managers are both satisfied. The goal is for 1+1 to become bigger than two.

- We can take on larger and more complex projects without having to rely on external subcontractors. In addition, we will be stronger in research and development. Both companies have developed a lot of new technology over the years," says Gerhardsen.

- "Proximity to our customers and putting their needs at the centre will continue to be our top priority. At the same time, we will continue to attract the best people so that we can develop further together," says Steinsland.

Strong ownership

The Norwegian private equity fund Equip Capital is behind Cautus Geo and now also Scanmatic.

Equip was founded in 2018 and manages NOK 8.6 billion, which is invested in companies with the potential for profitable growth and extraordinary development.
